Gales in Herm

We are not scared of a bit of wind at CP, so we arranged to go to Herm on Saturday morning for a couple of hours with Alice!  The weather could have been worse!!  Fortunately it didn't rain!!  Unfortunately the wind blew a gale for most of the day meaning some of the ideas had to be abandoned....

The first pic was taken at Shell Beach which was at the mercy of the high winds.  I had a few ideas for shots in the long grass but after holding my camera with one hand and the light stand with the other I managed to get 3 shots off before it was time to abandon ship.......

A quick re think and we nipped round to Belvoir Bay, probably the only place on the island with some shelter!!  After a few more shots it was time to return and we finished off the shoot at Saints Harbour on the south coast!!

Alice may have been cold for most of the trip, and I did feel guilty for dragging her over there but she did not complain once (thanks Alice) and hopefully we will visit Herm again next summer to finish the shoot off when it is a bit warmer!!

The Scientist, The Surgeon and the Gold Award

Sounds like a great book title doesn't it?

This was a wedding we were dying to post but respectfully waited until Rebecca (The Surgeon) and Peter (The Scientist) had the chance to return to Guernsey to see their photographs for themselves.

It was August, it was summer, it should have have been hot and sunny.  It wasn't.  Becca and Pete took the torrential rain in their stride and created their own sunshine.

Three stunning locations, St Saviour's church, Castle Cornet and finally the Auberge at Jerbourg.  As always Creative Photography shuffled the schedule to wait for the break in the weather which finally occured at Castle Cornet where Mike (The Gold Award) weaved his customary magic for the SWPP Gold Award winning vintage panoramic shot.

Your wedding was beautiful, you were both lovely and we at CP wish you a happy and healthy future

Oh and Becca?  That was a dress to die for....

Portraits

After the hustle and bustle of the main wedding season, Creative Photography have been out and about shooting a variety of portraits!  There are many reasons people love having their picture taken.  Some are for Christmas Presents, some for Birthdays and some just for fun!

We love outdoor photography!  Such a wide variety of backgrounds to choose from.  Guernsey has it all, beaches, cliffs, fields, urban areas......  Everything is catered for.  The skill is juggling the time of year, weather and venue to get the best pictrues possible!

Here is a selection of our latest work.  Thanks to Naomi, Sophie, Lauren, Montana and Abi for a few fun sessions!!

Feel free to call or email us for information or if your stuck for a Christmas present, what better than a fun day out with Ally and Mike!
